A cast nylon bushing (commonly made from PA 6 G or MC nylon) is a plain cylindrical bearing produced by pouring liquid caprolactam into a mold where it polymerizes into solid stock. It acts as a wear surface between a shaft and a housing, replacing traditional metal or thermoset components such as bronze or steel.
